Miles J. Turney

Associate Attorney | Garnett Patterson Injury Lawyers

Madison, Alabama | Morgan County and Houston County Native

Miles Turney gives good advice to deserving people when they need it most. A North Alabama native, Miles was born in Dothan and grew up in Decatur. After launching his career in Birmingham, he returned home to Madison and Morgan Counties to be closer to family following the birth of his son, and he brings that same sense of loyalty and commitment to every client he represents.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Miles earned his Bachelor of Political Science with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2020 and his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law in 2023. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2023 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama. Before joining Garnett Patterson Injury Lawyers, he practiced as an associate attorney at Norris Injury Lawyers. He is a member of the Huntsville Bar Association.

WHY HE DOES THIS WORK

Miles was drawn to plaintiff-side injury work because he enjoys being a resource for people who need help through no fault of their own. He prepares every case as if it is going to trial, because attention to detail is valuable to every person he represents, whether the matter resolves at the negotiating table or in front of a jury. His clients turn to him because they need sound advice from someone they can trust.

A CLIENT MOMENT THAT STAYED WITH HIM

One client moment has stayed with Miles: a woman he represented after she was hit by an uninsured driver knew he had just welcomed his son, and when they met to disburse her settlement, she surprised him with a handprint mold kit for the baby. It is the kind of relationship he hopes to build with every client.

TO A NERVOUS, FIRST-TIME CLIENT

“Many of my clients have been nervous just like you, worried about doing the wrong thing and hurting their case. The best thing they did was call me and listen. Stick with me and we’ll see you through to the other side.”

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

Outside the office, Miles enjoys spending time with his wife and young son and being a great uncle to his growing extended family. He loves traveling to the beach or the mountains, is an avid gamer and moviegoer, and can often be found at community events across Morgan and Madison Counties. He attends Revive Church.
