Reece Avis manages and organizes his clients’ cases from start to finish and serves as their primary point of contact for any question or concern along the way.

BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION

Originally from North Carolina, Reece first met Hunter Garnett roughly fifteen years ago at church camp. The two reconnected after Reece moved to Brazil, and he has been part of the GPIL team ever since. He attended Caldwell Academy and studied economics at Grove City College, and he is currently pursuing a law degree in Brazil.

WORKING WITH REECE

Reece wants every client to know that he is available for any concern they might have; he would answer his phone at midnight on a Saturday if a client called. He wants clients to understand they have contacted a unique law firm that will go far beyond the second mile for their case.

THE CLIENTS WHO STAY WITH HIM

The clients who have stuck with him most are his elderly clients. Many are simply trying to get an older vehicle repaired and their bills covered, often asking for only a few thousand dollars more to avoid a new car payment, yet they find themselves poorly treated by the insurance company they believed would have their back. Restoring the dignity those clients deserve is something Reece takes personally.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

Reece speaks Spanish and Portuguese. He is married to a Brazilian woman, and together they have a son and a pug named Duque. He attends church and a Bible study in Brazil, where he helps raise money for a building project supporting a children’s program. His hobbies include Brazilian jiu-jitsu, tennis, and lifting in the gym. And one thing people are surprised to learn: he cannot read or write in cursive.
