Sara Castano

Legal Assistant | Garnett Patterson Injury Lawyers

Native of Colombia

Sara Castano assists clients throughout the pre-litigation process of their personal injury claims, helping gather information, coordinate treatment and records, and move each case toward a successful resolution. She is one of a client’s main points of contact during pre-litigation and fields questions about treatment, medical bills and records, insurance claims, and the overall status of the case.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Sara is originally from Colombia, where she trained as an attorney and went on to earn two postgraduate specializations and a master’s degree in law. She joined GPIL with prior experience as a pre-litigation legal assistant handling personal injury cases. She is a native Spanish speaker and also speaks intermediate Portuguese.

WORKING WITH SARA

Sara wants nervous, first-time clients to know they do not have to navigate the process alone. She is there to listen, answer questions, and guide clients through each step so they feel informed and supported. One moment that stuck with her was a client thanking her and her case manager simply for taking the time to listen and explain what was happening. It reminded her that being responsive and making sure clients feel heard can make a real difference.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

Sara has volunteered by teaching classes and sharing her knowledge with others. At home she enjoys time with her husband and their two Border Collies, Botas and Ava. And one thing people are surprised to learn: she won a Spanish and math competition in high school that earned her a full scholarship to law school.
